Keep Your Heart Light

Healthy venting is a positive way to express, release and cope with emotions that we’d otherwise bottle up and push through life with. Healthy venting is constructive, safe and allows us to move beyond a bothersome or hurtful situation instead of allowing it to become pent up which only causes additional harm to us in the end. Venting when necessary can help keep your heart light.  

A healthy venting session includes:

  • A TRUSTED ACTIVE LISTENER: the ability to trust in who we confide to makes us feel comfortable while releasing and navigating through our emotions. You deserve integrity while being emotionally vulnerable. Cuddly LLC provides a space to be emotionally vulnerable without fear of judgement or unsolicited advice. Through active listening, Miki Gaynor is present with empathy, compassion and confidentiality. 
  • A TIME LIMIT: set a reasonable amount of time to confront the matter by talking through it. Honor yourself and your active listener by letting go of the topic when that time expires, then consciously release it. Some matters take longer to get over than others and we honor that too. You will know when the time is right to let it go verbally and ultimately emotionally. 
  • SELF-ACCOUNTABILITY: a healthy venting session allows for an emotional release and healing beyond the hurt or frustration. Being accountable for our role in situations helps create solutions which in turn helps us to move on from and release the situation properly. Playing the victim and not taking responsibility for negative actions and/or emotions only makes our situations worse. The goal is to gain newer perspectives and eliminate emotional distress, even when we are victims in a situation.
